When your brake line is damaged, the hydraulics won’t function as the brake fluid can’t reach the tire’s braking mechanism.

To prevent complete brake failure from happening, most brake systems have two separate circuits – creating a split braking system. This system allows for fault of one line but not both. When both lines fail, all function of the brakes is lost.

Repairing the brake line is not a difficult process, however it should be done by a certified mechanic. Brake lines differ in most vehicles, so the experience in handling such repair is critical in keeping you vehicle running and braking correctly.
